A beacon of hope shines in the city that never sleeps

We live in an era of unprecedented despair, and in these arduous times anguish is ubiquitous. From environmental issues to the global financial crisis, it seems that every aspect of our lives is occupied by impossible conflicts and perpetual struggle. However, I do not think any problem we as a nation face today is as nearly as tragic as what we were forced to endure ten years ago. But we have come so far since that fateful day; we have risen so high from the ashes at Ground Zero, that I cannot look into the future without hope.

The original Twin Towers were my favorite buildings in the world, and ever since they came crumbling down the entire city was never the same for me. Even with the boisterous symphony of the streets crowded and pulsating with vibrant life, I am always embodied by a sense of desolation. Though the New York Skyline has been forever changed, I still can't wait to see this marvelous building when it is completed. It certainly has some tremendous concrete shoes to fill.

I know I'm a bit late with this, but stay tuned for my pictures from the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I have some spectacular shots from that night that I will be uploading soon.

Oh, and have a very happy Thanksgiving!
