Theorize Art Fair, 2012

Theorize Art Fair, 2012

'In conceptual art the idea or concept is the most important aspect of the work. When an artist uses a conceptual form of art, it means that all of the planning and decisions are made beforehand and the execution is a perfunctory affair. The idea becomes a machine that makes the art. ” —Sol LeWitt
Theorize Art Fair is a premiere fair in the US dedicated to unrepresented artists. Conceptual Art Network's online presence consists of over 32 blogs and websites dedicated to photography and contemporary art.  The new art fairs will bring a physical aspect to our already well respected presence.
The simple, modest approach of the Theorize Art Fair offers an exciting alternative to the "Art Fair" experience for dealers and collectors as well as the general public. Theorize Art's main purpose is to create a meeting ground for outstanding unrepresented artists and the large public of contemporary art professionals. The fair serves as an invaluable resource for the artistic community and the general public.
As the fairs success grows and the platform evolves we now also accept applications from Contemporary art dealers, emerging galleries, curators and non-profit organizations. Artists from these groups shall remain open to working with other art professionals.
Our organization, Conceptual Art Network offers artists the opportunity to be a part of the unique and important cultural environment that manifests the week of March 8-11, 2011. Hundreds of thousands of art enthusiasts travel to the city to see and buy Art. The Armory Show, Scope, Volta and Pulse are the leading shows during this period, with an established tradition of cultivating art buyers and curators. This is the best week of the year to show work in NYC. It is a unique opportunity for gallery owners, curators and other art enthusiasts to discover artists that are not shown in the other art fairs.
Artists are able to sell work while expanding their network as well as receiving invitations to exhibit or create site-specific work by others.
The 4-day exhibition includes curated exhibitions, lectures addressing the challenges of the current art world along with special projects and events.
